Twas the night before Comfest, and all through the bar
All the hipsters had convened, from near and from far.
And Em with her PBR and I with mine too
Had just settled in to enjoy our "brews."

When up on the stage there arose such a clatter
We stood up from our table, "What the hell is the matter?!?"

And what to our wondering eyes should appear
But Juffage with live looping and amazing music there
We listened some more, and loved the sound
So we decided that we would be sticking around.

Then Ruckus Roboticus he took to the stage
Playing plenty of music for the crowd to engage:
Now spin us some found sounds, we really like ya!
Now hip-hop, now funk, now electronica!

Hotel Eden started rocking the place
Saying to the crowd, "This song is on my myspace."
Even technical problems couldn't stop his force
He gave the set his all, staying the course.

His music was poignant, his beats very dancey
Yet sometimes simple and raw and not very fancy.
Kelly grabbed his guitar and played his last song
And much of the crowd quietly sang along.

Then I heard him exclaim into the bright stage lights
"Happy Comfest to all, and to all now, good night!"

Perfect for the packed lunch or the consumer who is watching their portion sizes, these cookies are available in packages of two or four cookies. The consumer simply unwraps the package, lays the patented crisping sheet in the microwave, and places the pieces of uncooked dough on the sheet.
Yay for days off.

This might be nerdy, but I'm going to be divulging some planning/thoughts here (most likely in excruciating detail). There are a few things that I know already:

Venue: The Kelton House

Historical building and museum.

A stop on the Underground Railroad.

Within our price range

And absolutely freaking gorgeous.

Yes, this is where I turn into a girl.

I've always dreamed of having an outdoor wedding, and this meshes a nerdy love of history and the "I want a pretty venue" attitude.

Colors:

Chocolate brown and red with a little orange in other places and aqua blue as an accent color in a few places - just to break up the fall colors.

Attendants:

I decided back in high school that my bridesmaids would be my sisters - Erin (18) and Megan (16 in two days). My other siblings Kevin (7) and Kelly (5) will be our ring bearer and flower girl.

Photographer:

I really really really really want Kitty Maer. She photographed my neighbor's wedding, and her sister's wedding. Her work is absolutely gorgeous.

Other than this, I know little bits and pieces. A chocolate wedding cake. We want everything to be simple, I want a lot of the decorations being natural elements. I plan on wearing off-white/cream/champagne or something along those lines. I want a casual dress - tea length maybe. No train. I don't know if I'll wear a veil.

Dude, there are so many things to think about. It's daunting, yet exciting.

I told my mom that I was going to marry him after our second date. Maybe a month in, I told him within some mangled, rushed explanation that I knew this sounded crazy and that he's probably be freaked out which I understood but I really had to say that I wanted to marry him someday, which could be in the future but I just had to finally say it. To my surprise, he smiled and agreed that he felt the same.

And now we're here. A strange trip, indeed. And, we're only beginning.

There's a Karen Carpenter song in there somewhere.

Thank you all so much for all the well wishes. I'm smitten beyond belief with this Mav guy. He finishes my sentences, and catches my obscure musical references. He treats me as his equal, and loves me despite my weird habits and tendencies. And, I'm so happy that everyone supports us in this decision.
